Full Itinerary

Your safari driver guide will pick you from your Hotel, Drive and proceed on safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your driving will lead you through the Ankole savannah grasslands situated between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara and the main feature is settled farm land with common feature of long horned Ankole cattle. The attractive acacia-dotted Savannah is a home for these amazing cows that you will not likely to get such sight else where in the world. Stop for lunch on the way in Mbarara town.

After lunch proceed to the park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices. Arrival will be in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early morning game drive viewing herds of elephants, buffaloes and antelopes and some predators- lion’s leopards’ hyenas etc. Watch different species of birds. Over 500 species have been identified here making it a Mecca for bird –watchers. They include Black-bee eater, 11 different species of Kingfisher, several falcons, eagles and raptors.

Then take an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will see a variety of game mostly marine animals. This waterway joins Lake Edward and Lake George and it is filled with schools of hippos, buffaloes, with elephants at the banks and a wonderful diversity of birds. Because of the different habitats of the lakeshores and the broad Savannah, the variety seems endless. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater and cheeky bronze-tailed starling as well as the majestic crowned crane. Retire to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

After breakfast you will be driven to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee tracking while on a nature walk. After Kyambura gorge for a primate walk where your will see chimps and other primates e.g. Columbus & velvet monkeys and baboons walk out of the gorge to proceed to Kampala and continue to Entebbe with your packed lunch.
